Film Documentaries We Accept
We consider independent documentaries that fall within the following categories:
• Culture and Identity: Stories exploring heritage, community, lived experience, and cultural expression.
• Social Issues and Civic Life: Documentaries highlighting injustice, public policy, activism, or the experiences of marginalized communities.
• Personal Journeys: Character-driven narratives that reveal resilience, transformation, healing, or growth.
• Arts, Creativity, and Innovation: Projects focused on artists, creative movements, and cultural innovation in minority communities.
• History and Legacy: Documentaries preserving untold, overlooked, or forgotten stories that deserve wider recognition.
• Wellness, Empowerment, and Education: Films centered on mental health, personal development, empowerment, and community uplift.
• Short Form Documentaries: Short films between 5 and 30 minutes that deliver strong, focused storytelling.
Audio Projects We Accept (Narrative Podcasts and Audio Documentaries)
DocuVox features audio storytelling that mirrors the depth of documentary film. We accept audio projects such as:
• Narrative Podcasts: Episodic stories told through interviews, personal narration, reporting, or creative nonfiction.
• Audio Documentaries: Long form narrative audio works exploring topics, communities, or personal experiences.
• Cultural and Community Stories: Audio projects centered on heritage, traditions, identity, or local stories that deserve wider audiences.
• Investigative or Journalistic Narratives: Deep dives into real events, issues, or individuals through layered audio storytelling.
• Personal Essays and Documentary Diaries: First person narratives, oral histories, and reflective storytelling.
• Motivational, Empowerment, and Educational Audio: Uplifting and informative audio designed to inspire listeners.
Formats We Accept
We currently accept the following formats:
• For film: MP4 or MOV with 1080p resolution or higher, in short or feature length documentary formats.
• For audio: MP3 or WAV, including episodic series or stand alone documentary pieces.

We prioritize stories that are authentic, truthful, culturally meaningful, respectful, and narratively compelling. Submissions should demonstrate clear audio and visual quality and reflect the lived experiences or perspectives of the creator.
